Walmart Marketplace fee calculator

Walmart's own calculator tells you what Walmart charges. This one tells you whether the flip is worth doing: enter what you paid and what you'll sell it for, and it returns the referral fee, your net profit and your net margin.

Two things people get wrong

The fee is charged on shipping too. Walmart's schedule says the total sales price "includes item price as well as shipping and handling, gift wrap and other charges." If you charge $5 shipping, the referral fee applies to that $5 as well. Free shipping does not dodge it either, it just moves the cost.

Some categories are bracketed and some are not. Grocery at $15.01 pays 15% on the whole amount, not 15% on the last penny. But jewelry at $300 pays 20% on the first $250 and 5% on the rest, like tax brackets. Walmart writes both as tiers and they produce very different numbers. This calculator handles them separately.

Where the numbers came from

I run Cleared Leads, a Target-to-Walmart sourcing list. This calculator is the same fee logic the list uses to decide whether a lead clears its margin floor, which is why it exists at all.

Every Wednesday I post two real leads free: the product, both prices, the net margin after this exact fee, and any restriction or recall note. No card, and you can see whether the numbers hold up before you spend anything.
